Accessibility statement

Last updated 21 September 2026.

Our target

bytevolve.com targets WCAG 2.2 level AA. Accessibility is part of our build standard for client work, so we hold our own site to the same line.

We also aim to meet the spirit of India’s Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 for publicly offered digital information: usable with assistive tech, keyboard, and clear structure — not a separate “accessible mode” bolted on later.

What is implemented

On this site we work to the following:

  • Semantic HTML landmarks, one H1 per page and a logical heading hierarchy
  • A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element
  • Visible focus styles on all interactive elements
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, mega menus (with Escape to close) and accordions with ARIA state
  • Colour contrast meeting AA on our cream, pine and amber brand surfaces
  • Descriptive alt text on non-decorative images; decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
  • Reduced-motion preferences respected: reveal and accordion animations are disabled or shortened under prefers-reduced-motion
  • Forms with proper labels and colour-independent error messages
  • Consent and privacy controls that can be opened, toggled and saved with keyboard and clear labels

Privacy rights and accessible channels (DPDP)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), Bytevolve is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected on this site. Data Principals must be able to exercise rights — access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal and grievance — without an inaccessible barrier.

You can use our contact form, email hello@bytevolve.com, or the control for cookie choices. Notices and cookie settings are written in plain language; if a control or form blocks you, treat it as an accessibility defect and tell us — we will fix the path as well as the privacy request.

Grievance Officer for personal-data issues: Kamran Akhtar (see our Privacy policy). We do not require you to use a channel that your assistive technology cannot operate.

Known limitations

Some case study imagery is photographic mockup material with descriptive alt text rather than full text alternatives. Embedded third-party widgets (if loaded after consent) may have their own accessibility gaps outside our direct markup.

If anything on the site blocks you — navigation, forms, consent, PDFs we link to, or contrast — the contact below reaches the person who can fix it directly.

How we check

We review new pages with semantic checks, keyboard passes, and automated contrast and landmark scans as part of release. Client builds are held to the same WCAG 2.2 AA bar we publish here.

Automated tools do not replace human review. Reports from users of screen readers, zoom, voice control or switch devices are treated as first-class defects.

Feedback

Get in touch or email hello@bytevolve.com with the page URL, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you use if you know it. Accessibility reports are treated as defects, not feedback: they get fixed, usually within days.

You may also raise related personal-data barriers through the grievance channel in our Privacy policy. We will not ask you to disclose more personal data than needed to reproduce and fix the issue.

Updates to this statement

We revise this statement when the site, our standards or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
